What is the gsm?

Hi, can you highlight some differences between the KMDMerino Base layer range and KMDAscent range with regards to warmth, weight, drying time etc.? I’m trying to decide which of the two to get. Thanks. 
The KMDAscent range combines the different materials for superior warmth and durability and will be slightly heavy than the Merino base layer, drying times have not been tested.
Are the merino long John’s itchy?
The long-johns are 100% merino with a next to skin fit - Merino is naturally elastic and doesn't tend to be itchy.
