My experience was extremely poor with this product
"I wish my rating could be better, but I simply rate this product at 0 stars, since it is Johnand itchy, does not keep me warm, is easily torn and worn and most all it contains PFAS, a poisonous chemical that is toxic material that will leach out, especially when rained on. With no response to my inquiry about this toxic material, there communication is unreliable. My kids were not satisfied with this product, so I do strongly advise you to not buy this product."
A horrible experience, my kids hate this product
"Again I wish I could rate this product better, but I simply can’t, this product in my strong opinion is valued at 0 stars, clearly since it contains PFAS a toxic material that will leach when used and after my many attempts to contact and inquire about it Kathmandu will not respond proving communication is unreliable. With this toxic material I am hesitant on using them and with my kids school camp in a few weeks I am running out of time to get new sleeping bags. Plus I have not got my money back as asked many times and local stores cannot do anything. Also these sleeping bags are not as described as they to not keep my kids warm, they say it is itchy and uncomfortable, also I noticed it is easily worn and the material is not strong as it actually ripped and torn. I absolutely hate this product and my kids with out a doubt, so I do warn you this product is not as stated and I recommend not to buy it!"

"Both daughters have one of these, have used on family camping trips and school camp outings. They say it is very comfortable ('pillowy') and stay toasty warm even on chilly nights - which is saying something for kids who are prone to getting cold easily. Stuff sack has ample space making it easy for kids to pack too. Nice one!"

We bought a tent, mattresses and sleeping bags so that the kids could go camping in the school holidays. My question was whether the waterproof treatment on these sleeping bags contained toxic PFAS, which Kathmandu has pledged to phase out. There is no information about it on the product labelling, the website or the internet. I don’t feel we can use the sleeping bags in case we end up needing to return them, so the kids are still waiting for their camping trip, and the school holidays are running out…"

"It is good if driving a vehicle for camping as it is a bit bulky and heavy so not suitable for hike and camp. After all it is in good quality and warm for kids"

- Does the bag open right up or is the zip at the bottom separate to the side one?
- This semi-rectangular sleeping bag features a two-way zip, from top to bottom - so your child can easily cool down when it gets hot by opening up either slider from the side or the foot end.
- Would you say the Alhambra/Dark Spruce colourway is more green and red or green and pink? Or green and another colour?
- Hi there, It's been awhile since I have seen this one in person instore. From memory it's in between a red and pink. Might be best for you to pop in store and check it out to make sure you are happy with the colour before purchasing. Alternatively, if you buy it online, you can always exchange or refund in store too.
- Just to clarify , are the ages for the temperature rating how old the bag is?
- Hi, Thank you for your question. These ages relate to the age of the child using the sleeping bag, young children tend to have a higher body temperature which is why the temperature ratings differ as the child gets older. I hope this has been helpful. Thank you.
- How do u wash it?
- This will need to be hand washed and care instructions are included with the sleeping bag.
- Is this a T limit warmth rating?
- It is the comfort rating, so the minimum temperature rating.
